The ‘Plot 5’ site is owned by Bristol City Council. The Council has a legal agreement with Dandara Living to redevelop this site. The Conditional Development Agreement (CDA) requires Dandara Living to deliver 30 per cent affordable homes as part of our proposal.
We have been working closely with the Council in preparing a scheme since early 2019. So, the proposal we are presenting here has evolved over a two-year period with significant input from the Council’s property, design, housing, transport and planning teams already.
Bristol City Council has been consulting on its own scheme to restore the River Malago. It is also consulting on local travel and transport improvements to help make Bedminster Green work as a whole.
While these two schemes are separate from our proposal, they do – of course – have to work together. So, our scheme will tie-in fully with the Council’s proposals when its has completed it consultations with the community.
